HR Award
Moravian Business College Olomouc has, in December 2018, signed up to the principles outlined in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the recruitment of researchers. By doing so, the College has declared its interest in joining excellent research institutions with a European standard when it comes to the treatment of employees, open and transparent recruitment policies and a high standard of work conditions.
Working group selected from the academic staff, leaders and managers has, in the first phase, compiled a document in the form of GAP analysis. In the analysis, differences between current conduct and the principles outlined in the Charter and the Code were identified. In addition, opinions of employees stemming from a questionnaire enquiry also projected themselves in the analysis (see Methodology of processing GAP analysis). Based on the findings, an Action plan was created. Its contents outline the specific steps necessary for meeting all of the 40 criteria of the Charter and the Code.
The aim of the activities outlined above is to obtain the HR Award certificate. For MVSO, this means:
- Increase in prestige and attractiveness
- Inclusion in the European network of research institutions
- Increase in attractiveness for foreign researchers
- Increase in the standard of human resource management
