MVSO International Week has started

On 24 April, the 8th International Week opened by a welcoming speech by the Vice-rector for Strategic Partnerships and International Cooperation, Jitka Lidaříková. Students from Yemen, Turkey and Lebanon presented their country, students from MVSO talked online about their experience from their ongoing the Erasmus + mobility at the University of Maribor. Austrian students presented their country and their home institution Theresian Military Academy. Through the presentation of Lithuanian and Polish guests from Utena University and Siedlce University students had an opportunity to learn more about our partner universities. The first day was concluded with a group quiz: How well do you know Europe? and a foreign language learning activity.

The upcoming two days this week, the students can choose from seminars by lecturers from Poland, Lithuania, Slovenia, and Turkey. The students will experience Erasmus+ at their home institution and they will be motivated to go out into the world to study at 37 partner universities in 15 countries.

On Thursday, 27April, the Central European Academic Initiative will take place. Participating international academics will introduce their home universities. Experts from Cormack Consultancy Group will focus on the implementation of international projects. The Czech-Israeli Mutual Chamber of Commerce will present its projects on linking science and business. The event will include round table discussions on topics such as: innovation ecosystem focused on healthcare, family businesses, entrepreneurship and start-ups, and strategic management. The event will contribute to know-how sharing in the region and it aims to profile key activities for international academic cooperation.
